It details the true story of 123 elite U.S. soldiers who drop into Somalia to capture two top lieutenants of a renegade warlord and find themselves in a desperate battle with a large force of heavily-armed Somalis. The movie is one of the best films on the ethnic conflict in Somalia and the use of modern warfare.

The Somali shilling is the currency issued by the government prior to 1991. It has reduced sharply since then in 1989 the rate was SH252 to US$1, and by 1999 the rate was SH2,600 to US$1. It is most surprising that the currency is still in circulation at all as, until 2000, there has been no government to enforce the currency as legal tender the acceptance of the currency in making payments. U.S. dollars are widely used for anything other than small transactions.

Somalia has a free market economy and has a meager of natrul resoures. Somalia economy is pastoral and argricultrul, with livestock-principally camels,cattle,sheeps, and goats representing the main form of wealth.Somalia livestockhas accountedfor about 40%of GDP and about 65%of export of earning.In 1960 Somalia grew 37% dropped 6% in 1970 it recovered 37% in 1980.Economic progress in Somalia is decidedly mixed. Iman was the fist African American woman in the world to sign a cosmetics contract. After she signed the contract, she was recruited as a model by photographer Peter Beard. Once she was recruited to be a model, she relocated from Somalia to the United States.In 1979, Iman made history by being the first black woman to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine.She also portrayed an Egyptian Queen in Michael Jackson's video,"Do you Remember the Time?". Although she is a supermodel Iman has not forgotten where she came from. Iman is a spokesperson for Keep a Child Alive.Keep a child alive provides drugs to HIV/AIDS children and families in Africa and India. Iman is a great role model and Somalia's finest. This is a picture of the Olympia Hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia. Mogadishu is the capital of Somalia. It's also the largest city in Somalia. Mogadishu is the neighbor of Benadir. In 1991 the central governance in Somalia had collapse. Mogadishu has been fighting the rival militia for 17 years. Mogadishu is one of the top dangerous cities also most lawless in the cities. All Alone


Somalia was created in 1960 when the British protectorate and an Italian colony came together. Somalia had been without an effective central government since President Siad Barre was overthrown in 1991. Due to lack of government they hard time dealing with famine and disease have led to the deaths of up to one million people.In 1991 when President Barre was overthrown by opposing clans, Somalia was lost. They had no government and no laws therefore causing wars between clans. In Kenya, the politicians signed a deal to set up a new parliament, who later appointed a president.The president's name is Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed.
